Too bad they can’t figure out a way to get a capital crime out of it. Would have been nice if it was a state crime in Washington or New Hampshire, where hanging is a legal form of the death penalty.

Is it any wonder that with the national leadership pushing a Jim Jeffords Republican (read: Democrat) in John McCain for the presidential nomination that people are disillusioned with the party? I voted for Bush twice, including in 2000 when I was just a few months into my voting career. I will not vote for McCain. I would just assume write in Ted Terbolizard for President and Karl Marx for Vice President.
In all likelihood, though, I will either abstain from voting for president or write in someone like Condoleezza Rice. McCain is no different from Paddling Ted Kennedy, politically, so what’s the point?

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008I was at work today realizing that if I wanted to eat out and not spend a lot of money, one of the best deals around is getting the kid’s pizza at Nordstrom’s Cafe Bistro. It comes with a small soda, and around here costs about $6. The pizza is hand tossed, fired in a real oven, and everyone is SUPER friendly. The nicest people I have ever seen in retail, actually. Short story: tastes great, is relatively easy on the wallet.
What I also realized is that I could never work at Nordstrom. I would not be able to handle so much ridiculous shit in stride like every employee there is able to do. They are customer service saints.
When AAPL hits $200 again, I think I’m bailing…
Monday, May 12th, 2008I’ve got way too much credit card debt to hang onto this stock much longer. I don’t think it’s unreasonable, and going by its cyclical nature, I might even be able to pull back around and buy a bit lower. But seriously, I think paying down the good old AmEx and MasterCards would be a good idea right about now.
